It didn't go to all season ticket holders. I know of one who's been emailing back and forth with them.

Interesting, I pictured Laviolette getting hired by a team with more experienced players and in a better position to win right away. He seems to have great success at first, but clearly has a shelf life after 3 years or so.

Instability is the reason this organization is a complete joke. This will be the 13th coach in 20 years correct? Horrible decision if true. It's not Dineens fault, it's Tallons. He has put a below average product on the ice. His first draft is looking to be a complete failure. Gudbranson isn't worth a 3rd overall pick, Howden can't even keep his spot on this shotty roster and Bjugstad can't even put the puck in the net. The 30 million he spent went to below average vets. He's paying close to 5 million for Jovo who hasn't played in 2 years. They named him the captain if this team and he's been idle for two years. But let's all put the blame on Dineen, the first coach in over a decade to bring this team to the playoffs. What a joke.

This organization continues to repeat history, this team will go another decade before making the playoffs again. They've rushed Huby and Barkov into a losing culture, once they become UFA's goodluck retaining them. Doubt they would want to be apart of this organization which accepts losing.

Hope all season ticket holders do away with this team. Tallon is a liar and has failed the fans already.

I hope this isn't true, unfortunately it probably is. Things will never change. Stability is very important, it's too bad this Micky mouse franchise ignores the obvious.

If true, is Lavi a glutton for punishment? He already worked for one of the worst GM's in the business. Does he think that experience will help him? Ownership may be promising him more than just standard coaching responsibility. That might entice him and you may see Tallon gone soon. Otherwise, if it were me, I would be patient and let the Flyers continue to pay me, while things played out in the larger NHL landscape. Speaking of Mickey Mouse, I think he resides in the NHL executive office so nothing should surprise hockey fans.

They had it going down there a couple of years ago and Dineen is not the problem.

Lavvi needs $$ he was caught up in a leverage of his properties in 2008 by Bank of America and is suing them for 3 million for enticing him.

So unless he keeps getting paid by the Flyers $$ though he has a new job and gets paid by the Panthers too, I cant see him going through enough coaching withdrawal to go from one disaster lineup to another without seeing more talent.

I actually went to 2 or 3 Panthers games in the old arena while on vacation in 96-97. 15 minute ride from south beach and easy cheap tickets.

Guess you were right, Josh. Ek just got around to posting Dineen fired. Nice call if it is Lavi in the wings.

Like the Jets! I think if Noël is dismissed (which will be too bad because I like him) then Laviolette is the best man to take over in the Peg.
